Having security in your home can help to protect against burglary and theft. The installation of security can also help to prevent and reduce the time that a burglar will spend in your home.

Some steps that you can take to help to prevent burglary and theft inclued:

1. Have your alarm system connected to back to base monitoring
2. Security screens or grills should be in place for all accessible windows
3. Key locks should be fitted to all windows and patios
4. Have dead locks on external doors.

Some simple tips to help make your home and ultimately your family safe:

1. Set your alarm system even if you are only going to be away for 5 minutes.
2. If your alarm system has partial arming, set the alarm in the partitioned area even if you are in the home.
3. If you go out at night, leave a light on.
4. Keep your garden shed locked to prevent access to tools to enable a burglar to enter your premises.
5. Keep trees & shrubs from around windows clear.
