We had just completed building our new home and were very excited to FINALLY move in! About a month after settling in to our new house we came home from dinner one weeknight to find our window had been smashed in and we had been robbed. The mess was unbelievable, mud through all our new carpets and the rooms were turned upside down. Tracey Hello My Name is Jack Williams, and I am the National Public Relations Officer for ACREM (Australian Citizen Radio Emergency Monitors Inc.) In the first week of August 2006, two weeks after I was married my wife and I were out for only 2 hours and returned home to find we had been broken into and lost our brand new plasma TV and Medion 17” widescreen laptop along with some gold. The emotional stress and knowing our privacy had been invaded was the hardest to deal with. We were too frightened to go out for even 30 minutes and when we did venture out our minds were still at home, as the constant worry of us being robbed again was still fresh in our mind. So we got to a point where we did not go out for several months. We just sat at home. We had become prisoners in our own home…. My wife and I then discussed getting an alarm system installed. So I was pleased to know there was a panic button as well that I could use if I was home alone and the robbers returned, or if I fell out of my wheelchair and needed help. Accidentally, one day I set the Alarm off and within 15 seconds J.N.R was on the phone asking if all was ok ….I have never waited more than 30 seconds on the phone when calling them and I have never been placed on hold.
